Use Call History and the Desktop Dialer

Search and filter call history, understand call entries, and place calls with the Phound desktop dialer.

Select the phone icon in the Phound desktop sidebar to review recent calls and open the dialer.

Read Call History

Each call-history entry can show:

  • The contact name or phone number.
  • The call date and time.
  • The call duration when one is available.
  • A direction icon for an incoming or outgoing call.

Selecting a person can expand multiple calls with that contact. Use Search when you already know the person or number you need.

Filter the List

Open the filter below Search and choose:

  • All.
  • Address book.
  • Phound users.
  • My teams.

Filters change which call-history entries are visible. They do not delete the other entries.

Place a Call

  1. Confirm that the correct persona appears in the upper-left corner.
  2. Enter the phone number with the desktop dialer.
  3. Review the number before continuing.
  4. Select Call.

You can also open a contact and select Call. The active persona determines the Phound identity used for the outgoing call.

Call Statistics

Select Statistics near the call-history filter to open the statistics area available to your account. If the page remains blank or does not finish loading, check for a desktop update and then report the problem.

Clear Call History Carefully

The Calls page includes Clear call history. Use it only when you intend to remove the visible history from your account. Review any confirmation Phound presents before continuing.

Clearing history is different from ending a call, blocking a contact, or deleting a contact.

If the Dialer Does Not Work

Confirm the active persona, internet connection, microphone permission, and selected recording device. Then see Can't Receive Calls? or Connection and Network Issues.
