A dependable Wave setup has a clear path from contact data to a reviewed message.
A Simple Workflow
- Import or add the contact. Map the fields you actually need.
- Apply useful tags. Tags should describe the contact or the action that occurred.
- Create a collection. Use AND or OR rules to group the right contacts.
- Choose a Blast or Campaign. A Blast is one message. A Campaign follows scheduled rules.
- Review broadcast hours. Confirm when outbound messages may be delivered.
- Test. Check sender, personalization, timing, replies, and opt-out behavior.
- Review the Timeline. Confirm the upcoming sends are expected.
Use Keywords Carefully
A keyword can send an instant reply and add or remove tags. Those tag changes can update collections and help move a contact into the intended workflow.
Keywords do not replace your responsibility to follow the approved consent process for the account. See Create Keyword Automations.
Reuse Setup with Configuration Bundles
Configuration bundles can package selected Wave resources for another account. For reusable templates, avoid including Contacts unless the transfer of that customer data is intentional and authorized.
See Create and Share Configuration Bundles and Importing Configuration Bundles.
Review Before Every Launch
Confirm the active persona, approved sender, audience, message content, broadcast hours, and Timeline before enabling a campaign or scheduling a Blast.
