Opening and Logging In to Phound Wave
Phound Wave is accessible two ways: through the Phound desktop app or directly in your browser at wave.phound.app. Both options use the same Phound credentials, so you can pick whichever fits your workflow.
Option 1: Browser Access
The fastest way to get into Wave is through the web:
- Open your browser and go to wave.phound.app.
- Sign in with your Phound account email and password.
- If you have multiple workspaces or personas, select the one you want to send from.
- You will land in the Wave dashboard.
Tip: Bookmark wave.phound.app for one-click access. Wave works in any modern browser on desktop — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge are all supported.
Option 2: From the Phound Desktop App
If you already have the Phound desktop app installed on Mac or Windows, you can open Wave from inside it:
- Open the Phound desktop app.
- In the sidebar, click the Wave icon (it looks like a broadcast signal).
- Wave opens in a new window or a dedicated panel within the app.
If you do not have the desktop app yet, you can download it from your Phound account settings or at phound.app.
Signing In for the First Time
If this is your first time opening Wave, you will see a welcome screen. The first steps are:
- Link your Phound number. Wave uses your existing Phound number for sends. If you manage multiple numbers, you will be prompted to choose which one Wave should use.
- Review the terms. Accept the Wave-specific terms of service and compliance notice. These cover your obligation to follow SMS marketing laws and TCR requirements.
- Start carrier registration. You cannot send messages until your campaign is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR). Wave will walk you through the registration flow.
Warning: You cannot send any broadcast messages until TCR registration is complete and approved. This step is required by US carriers, not just Phound. Plan for a few business days between submitting your registration and being approved to send.
Switching Between Phound and Wave
Wave and Phound share the same login, but they are separate surfaces:
- Phound handles one-to-one calls, texts, and meetings.
- Wave handles broadcast and automated campaigns.
Any contacts, tags, and custom fields you create in Wave are scoped to Wave. Any numbers you text through Wave still show up as regular conversations in your Phound inbox when recipients reply.
If You Cannot Log In
If you are having trouble signing in:
- Double-check your email and password. Use the same credentials you use for the main Phound app.
- Reset your password from the login screen if needed. The reset email comes from
support@phound.app. - Verify your plan. Wave requires Pro or Business plus the Wave add-on. If you are on Basic, you will see an upgrade prompt instead of the dashboard.
- Contact support. If none of the above work, reach out to Phound Support with your account email.
